Danny Forster : ウィキペディア英語版 | Danny Forster thumb Daniel Keith “Danny” Forster (born September 19, 1977) is an American architect, television host, film and television producer, director, professor, and speaker based in New York City. He is best known as the host of the Science Channel series ''Build It Bigger''; as the creator and executive producer of the Emmy-winning ''Rising: Rebuilding Grounds Zero''; and as the principal of DFDS, an internationally recognized architectural design firm. ==Early life and education== Born in Brooklyn, Forster grew up in Tenafly, New Jersey, with his father, George, a neurologist, and his mother, Alice, a pediatric AIDS and hemophilia clinician. (Both parents are now deceased.) He attended the Elisabeth Morrow School and went on to graduate from the Dwight-Englewood School in 1995. He then attended Wesleyan University, graduating with honors in 1999, with a BA in Art and Architectural History. His bachelor’s thesis, “Theoretical Realities,” studies the impact of computer-aided design (CAD) on the fabrication of form in works by Peter Eisenman and Frank Gehry. After college, Forster worked for several years in New York City, as a real estate agent and the founder of UrbanFilter, a web-based real estate start-up subsequently bought by CitiHabitiats. He then moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to matriculate at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. He received his Master’s in Architecture in 2006. His master’s thesis invented a vertical urban campus containing both apartments and office space in a post-college collaborative living and working environment. As an added challenge, the project aimed to create spatial diversity while maintaining homogenous unit quality.
